Aggrenox 25/200 mg
Aggrenox (Aspirin/Dipyridamole)

Aggrenox is a medicine used to lower the risk of stroke in people who have had a mini-stroke or full stroke due to a blood clot.

Aggrenox can increase the risk of bleeding. You may bleed more easily while taking Aggrenox, and it may take longer than usual to stop bleeding. Your risk is higher if you drink three or more alcoholic beverages a day. Tell your doctor right away if you experience severe headache with drowsiness, confusion or memory change, stomach pain, heartburn or nausea, vomiting blood or your vomit looks like coffee grounds, red or bloody stools, black tarry stools, or if you faint while you are taking Aggrenox. Aggrenox can cause new or worsening chest pain in some people with heart disease. Tell your doctor if you have new chest pain or have any change in your chest pain while you are taking Aggrenox. Aggrenox can cause liver problems. Tell your doctor if you experience loss of appetite, pale colored stool, stomach pain, dark urine, itching, or yellowing of your skin or whites of your eyes while you are taking Aggrenox. Aggrenox can cause a potentially life-threatening disease of the brain and liver if given to children or teenagers with a viral infection (such as chickenpox). Aggrenox can cause headaches when you first start taking the medicine. These usually go away with time. Tell your doctor if you experience headaches that you cannot tolerate while you are taking Aggrenox.
