Cardura (Doxazosin Mesylate)

Cardura is a medicine used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Cardura is also used to relieve the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlargement of the prostate gland, which may in turn block the flow of urine).

Cardura can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, which may cause fainting, dizziness, or lightheadedness. Do not drive or perform other hazardous activities until you know how Cardura affects you. Cardura does not treat high blood pressure. Rarely, Cardura can cause painful, prolonged erections (priapism). Tell your doctor right away if this occurs.
