Catapres (Clonidine HCl)

Catapres is a medicine used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure.

Do not stop taking Catapres without first talking to your doctor. Stopping Catapres suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms, including nervousness, agitation, headache, and shaking. These symptoms can occur with or be followed by a sudden rise in your blood pressure. If you used Catapres-TTS patches in the past and developed an allergic reaction, Catapres tablets can also cause a reaction. Tell your doctor if you experience rash, hives, or swelling of your face, eyes, lips, or tongue. Catapres can cause dry eyes if you wear contact lenses.
