Ciloxan (Ciprofloxacin HCl)

Ciloxan is an antibiotic known as a quinolone that is available as eye drops and an eye ointment. Ciloxan eye drops and ointment are used to treat conjunctivitis (“pink eye”). Ciloxan eye drops are also used to treat ulcers of the cornea (clear tissue over the pupil of your eye).

Ciloxan is for use only in your eyes. Ciloxan can cause a serious allergic reaction. Stop using Ciloxan and call your doctor right away if you develop difficulty breathing, hives, itching, rash, or swelling of your face, tongue, or throat. If you use Ciloxan for a long period of time, it can cause infections, including fungal infections.
