Epiduo (Adapalene/Benzoyl Peroxide)

Epiduo is a topical gel (applied directly on the skin) that is used to treat acne.

Epiduo is for external use only. Do not use it in your mouth, eyes, lips, vagina, open wounds, or on sunburned skin. Epiduo can cause swelling, redness, scaling, dryness, and burning of your skin. This usually happens during the first 4 weeks of treatment and are mostly mild to moderate in severity. Depending upon the severity of these reactions, you may use a moisturizer, reduce the frequency of Epiduo use, or stop using Epiduo. Tell your doctor if these reactions get worse. Limit sun exposure while you are using Epiduo. If you have sunburn, wait until it fully recovers before you start this medicine. Use sunscreen products and wear protective clothing over treated areas when you cannot avoid being exposed to the sun. Weather extremes, such as wind and cold, can irritate your skin and should also be avoided.
